THE RELIEF ROOM

A private community for relief veterinarians building flexible, sustainable careers

You don’t have to navigate relief work alone. There is room for you here.

Relief work can be one of the most freeing and financially sustainable paths in veterinary medicine. It can also feel isolating, uncertain, and difficult to navigate without the right support.

Many veterinarians exploring relief find themselves piecing together information from scattered sources, learning through trial and error, and making major career decisions without mentorship or community. Even experienced relief vets often feel like they are building their careers in a vacuum.

The Relief Room was created to change that.

This is a private membership community for relief veterinarians and DVMs seeking a more flexible, sustainable career path. A space for practical resources, honest conversations, and professional support from others who understand the realities of this work.

No hierarchy.
No drama.
No competition.
Just veterinarians building better careers together.

WHY THIS SPACE EXISTS

There are very few professional spaces dedicated specifically to relief veterinarians.

Most veterinary communities focus on associates, corporate medicine, or general discussion. Relief vets are often left to figure out contracts, pricing, clinic relationships, and business logistics on their own. Many online groups also lack privacy, making it difficult to ask honest questions about money, boundaries, and long-term sustainability.

The Relief Room exists to provide what many veterinarians wish they had earlier:
a professional, private community centered on relief work and sustainable veterinary careers.

This space is designed to support veterinarians who want more autonomy, better organization, stronger boundaries, and a career that is both financially and personally sustainable.

WHAT YOU GET INSIDE

Membership includes access to a growing resource library, live mentorship, and a collaborative professional community.

WHO THIS IS FOR

The Relief Room is designed for veterinarians who want more flexibility, autonomy, and long-term sustainability in their careers.

This includes:

• Current relief veterinarians
• Associates considering relief work
• Early and mid-career DVMs seeking flexibility
• Veterinarians recovering from burnout
• DVMs who want a more organized and supported career path

You do not need to have everything figured out.
You do not need to be ready to leave your current position immediately.
You simply need to know you want something better than constant burnout and uncertainty.

If you value professionalism, growth, work-life balance, and supportive community, you will likely feel at home here.

WHY THIS COMMUNITY WAS CREATED

The Relief Room was founded by Dr. Katie Hogan, a small animal relief veterinarian and the owner of Hogan Veterinary Relief and KRH Coaching & Consulting.

After experiencing burnout in traditional practice, she built her own relief career to create more flexibility, autonomy, and sustainability in veterinary medicine. Along the way, it became clear how little structured guidance and community existed for veterinarians pursuing this path.

The Relief Room was built to provide that missing support.

This space combines practical relief resources, mentorship, and a collaborative professional community designed to help veterinarians build organized, sustainable careers that support both their professional goals and their personal lives.

This is not just a group.
It is a professional support system for veterinarians building sustainable careers.
